Who do I report to when a restaurant deliberately over charging customers?
The technique used by this particular restaurant is by not clearing previous transaction know the till. Or sometimes the staff will add extra items which the dinners are have not ordered. I have caught them every times when I eat there and ask for the correct bill. I feel sorry for those customers that does not aware of the scam operating by his established restaurant.

Write a letter of complaint to the owner or manager, but also vote with your feet and avoid. You are obviously a good customer and they do not deserve your business. Don't forget to review with a low score on Tripadvisor too.

The problem is you would have to prove that their action was deliberate. When pointed out all they need do is apologise and say it was a mistake. All you can do is be vigilant and check the bill each time, interestingly I doubt that you will often find that you have been undercharged :0)
It's probably the till system rather than them deliberately over charging.
Never go there again.

''I have caught them every times when I eat there''

And yet you keep going back...
Yeah I was surprised by the return visits....

I am so used to overcharging I check the bill - since I give the tip in cash always to make sure the staff actually get it, I also scrutinise the bill.

The only time I raised the issue loudly was when I said to the owner -
No the food is good here. We want to pay for what we ate. We wanna come back !

Oh God and dont the owners love putting the service charge on the card AND pocketing the cash tip ? yup that as well....

.

Before sl-agging them off on Trip advisor you should write and give them a chance to defend or explain.

One of my fave hotels, s/o complained on t/a that there were people who had been drinking....but there was a bar there for chrissakes
Trading Standards ...and then boycott the place.
