OMG I made some doughnuts for the first time ever using an easy recipe off the internet and i'm really impressed with the result.
my cakes and pastries are not my forte but i think anyone could do these.

These things are a bit fattening for me, and I don't have a deep fryer, but I'll keep it in mind.

Old_Geezer - i'm a diabetic but a little of what you fancy doesn't do any harm, in my opinion.
i don't have a deep fat fryer either so i use an ordinary medium heavy based pan - works a treat
