Mini Sponges Cases. What To Put In Them

I bought some lovely little sponge cases from Lidl, anyone got a suggestion what to fill them with ?

Lemon merangue? Raspberries on a thick custard? Any fruit nicely arranged and covered with a bit of jello?

Thanks ethandron.I think I will try raspberries, custard and jelly ( jello, as you say over the pond!)

I'd melt down some redcurrant jelly and spoon it over rather than using ordinary jelly.....or strained melted marmalade or apricot jam.

Actually Sam, I'm this side of the pond too (England) :)
You used to be able to get sachets of powder which you added water to, to use as a glaze for fruit flans, and it was called..wait for it..Jello!

I think you will find it was called Quick Gel!

you can still get quick jel. Its glow in the dark bright red not a natural colorant or flavouring in sight
