yes I like pretzels but the have to be penn state US style ones with plenty of salt and not the small ones. They are good with dips and plain. A giant soft pretzel as sold in New York with american mustard and a decent Bloody Mary is a taste of heaven.
Now if you had asked why popcorn existed I would have agreed with you.
They're pretty wooden and dry but they're not to bad with houmous (sp?)or maybe even with chocolate. Having said that, if they were to be taken off the market immediately and never returned to the shelves, I wouldn't shed a tear.
People are only drawn to a bowl of Pretzels because of their unusual shape... if there are bowls of crisps, peanuts etc. available you can bet the pretzel will be left behind, to be binned... along with Bombay Mix.
snags: OMG what is wrong with you!? Pretzel and Bombay mix binned?! I feel sick just thinking about it. Give me a bag of pretzels and Bombay mix mixed together I say.
When we drove over to Romania and drove around the outskirts all I lived on from petrol stations were pretzels. I came back home with DVT and looked like a pretzel.
freshly made soft pretzels -they are huge, about 6 inches in diameter, are fantastic. You can buy them freshly made in shopping malls in the USA often served warm with fresh soup -yummy. I like the dried ones too, less calories than potato crisps and take more eating!http://pretzeljournal.files.wordpress.com/2007/09/sherman-oaks.jpg
