A while ago, I was berating Heinz for stopping making those little cans of Curried Beans. The new recipe is nothing like as good.

But in the back of one of the cupboards, here in my caravan, I found the last tin ! Its sell-by date is 01-03-2013. I am overjoyed !

But do you think I ought to eat them ? I always view these "sell-by" dates with complete disdain, unless something is actually green and furry !

Hans....it has been a beautiful day today....wall to wall blue skies, very sunny and quite warm.

All the wind is now confined to inside the 'van !
The date on a can of anything is not a "sell-by"...it's a "best before". It simply means that the contents will be at their best until around that date...but will, of course, be perfectly edible for years after that.
