Baconnaise
10 Answers
Recently, in the last 2 or 3 years, I've heard Baconnaise mentioned in a number of different places. It's a blend of bacon taste and mayonnaise that was invented in America (...so no surprises there!!), which sounds like it shouldn't work, but all the people who've tried it say it's absolutely scrummy.
I'd just really like to try it, but...
I've tried finding it in all my local supermarkets and shops - no luck. I've checked it out on the internet - plenty of Google entries, and several direct you to where it's available. Amazon have it - except that when you go to their website, it's out of stock, and no info on when it might be back. Harvey Nichols have it, except - no they don't - same story as Amazon. A number of other stockists have it, including the USA Food Store here in London, but... again, when you key it into the search box, again, it comes up as out of stock.
Either it's that popular that shops can't match the demand with the supply, or... there's some problem with getting it into the country.
Anybody got any idea what the problem might be?
