The ones you've come up with have reflections with either real words or well-known invented words. You'd be better coming up with something like (closes eyes and hits keyboard) tjhwsleoing. That's what hapenned!
OK =- how about derivates as a name - as in originating from, but different? I'm trying :) x

Peaspeculiars - now there's a name you haven't heard in a book before..., you can use mine if you like ;-)
Why not try a bit of research on ancient names and play around with how they are spelt/ sound. look at Game of Thrones - some of the names on there are very unusual.
If you specifically want them to sound 'space age' in the setting you are writing about - try to imagine what you would be called if you yourself lived there and looked around... you see someone you know in the distance... who is it? Ah yes, it's '..........'
Or, read labels - sounds daft, but there are some really great ingredients, spices and additive names that you can play around with.
Go on google earth and find unusual sounding towns in the med - mix them up a bit and change the syllables to suit and hey presto
My favourite from your list is: Moiety

Yo Tilly, it's because the caffeine has worn off now ;-) x
Vampkatlex, take a peek at this....
Brindisi
Matera
Melfi
Troia
Rodi
Sessa
- all sound familiar? They're all Italian towns, but you can mix them up a bit and get new names as an example:
Brindias
Matellera
Elfam
Troat
Rodinia
Sessam
:-) I like this OP

If they're gonna appear in a book, those names will make it awfully hard for the reader to...well, read!
When I played World of Warcraft I used to use sites like this for names, would this be any use to you?
