Food manufacturer Huel, which has developed a powdered food product to replace your normal intake, reports that from their survey the average Briton skips 260 meals a year.

Impartial view of course !

For what it's worth, their survey indicated that 72% missed a meal because they "forget to eat". Staggering.

Must go now, I've just "remembered" it's lunchtime.

I read an article years back that said people who naturally have a 'fast and feast' diet...ie...only eat when you're hungry, stop when you're full, tend to maintain their weight. Well if you asked me if I had ever forgotten a meal until I was lighted headed with hunger, they answer would be yes. Do I do it frequently or regularly? No.
Why is it staggering?

I've never been lightheaded with hunger or lack of food but my mum and sister get the shakes.

Back from lunch, so ready to answer ummmm.

I found it staggering that people forget to eat - that's all - just a personal opinion. Perhaps a bit hyperbolic of me, but there you go.
I skip meals all the time for no other reason than I don't feel hungry.

Besides having to cook a dinner for the family I only ever think about food if I'm hungry.

Some days I eat loads other days I eat barely anything. I'm sure there are loads more like me.

When I'm away my appetite increases loads and I also eat breakfast, which is something I never do at home.

Looking at the five categories given in the poll, I reckon "forget to eat" is the nearest one to your position ummmm so perhaps not so staggering after all, but a semantic failure of the poll categories to explicitly cover your case :-}

I presume I eat breakfast when away because you tend to be up, showered, dressed...looking pretty...before you walk out the door. At home I go to the kitchen blurry eyed and put the kettle on still in my PJ's.

People's attitude to food fascinates me. I'm from a family of pigs, their eating habits are what I would call staggering. I'm the odd one out :-)
just read the link....It doesn't say "forget to eat" it says "forget to eat meals" which means they may well graze or eat snacks instead. By their standards, I expect I skip at least 260 "meals" a year.
I suspect that the the wording is not a semantic failure but a deliberate skewing to get the result that the backers of the poll want.
