I really should know better.

I do know that grease proof paper isn't non stick.

However I hadn't anticipated it's ability to grab hold of £6 worth of prosciutto and refuse to let go.

Given that I have forgotten to defrost any chicken, tonight's supper is going to be very light on protein.

I'm not having a good week in the kitchen :-(

That was an expensive lesson. Do you cook prosciutto? I thought it was ready to eat.
Oops, Eccles, I hope your wine is good as I managed to have two bottles of shyyte, different wines - one a Muscadet and the other a Clos Faugères, over the w-end.

I wanted it crispy for a salad Rocky.

No wine on a school night DTC.
I bet it was super crispy.;-)
I would have picked every last over done bit off the paper.
Oh the despair of middle-class hardship - you have my sympathies.
I was in Waitrose the other day and they had TOTALLY run out of Percol Arabica coffee beans :-(
You`re lucky Answerprancer, I`m having touble sourcing my Kenyan tea. I can only get Sainsbury`s and I used to get it from a corner shop near our hotel in Nairobi :-)
Well I have some Bhutanese tea that was given to me by some people I met near Boudhanath in Khatmandu! I could spare you one or two bags.
Thanks but I`ve got some nice broken orange pekoe from Kandy to tide me over. My sister went to Bhutan a few years ago. Apparently, you can`t go there independently - you have to go on an organised tour because the government limit the amount of foreigners who can enter the country. Sounds and interesting place to visit.
No, a wet haddock
Yep - the locals refer to it as "the last Shangri La" you have to pay something like $250 a day to stay there - it's their way of stopping it being spoilt by tourism. They're fantastic archers too.
Just spent half an hour wrestling with a roll of cling film, meaning to use one piece of steak and freeze the others
Finally won but so dispirited and late that I have settled for a corned beef and beetroot sandwich
//No wine on a school night DTC.// thought it was the school hols but then the Jocks went back today......

No kids here, so a glass of wine is permissible and it's not the Musc or the Faugères.

Trust me Pasta, I did my best to retrieve it and did manage to get a reasonable amount free and a bit more with an interesting paper backing but some sadly refused to give itself up and ended up in the bin.

Tomorrow, I'll add parchment to my shopping list ;-)
