Jam?
Heres a gud un, melv ;-)

Bilberry Gin
Take a half-empty bottle of gin (or vodka, or a mixture) and fill the bottle with clean, juicy bilberries. Add 2 tbsp caster sugar. Cork and shake well. Shake weekly for a month, then taste the mixture and add a little more sugar if necessary.
Continue with the weekly shaking for another two or three months. Strain the gin and bottle: use the fruit in a pie.

Where can you get half-empty bottles of gin? I only have empty ones.
You have stop when you get half way down and then open a new one, Jackdaw.
Lucky you. How did you get so many?
Can't beat bilberry pies or crumbles, I'd make loads of either and freeze them or freeze the berries. Come winter would be a real treat
