That reminds me of the time when my mother slapped me so hard I nearly fell over. She had sent me to do some shopping, and when i returned she said, "Did you get these chops from the butchers?" to which I replied, "Well, I hardly got them from the f******* ironmongers, did I?"

Salivate away.... I can scarcely believe what I have just cooked and eaten and it was so cheap!
Rugby World Cup - Tesco's leaflet suggesting dishes for each country. Homed in on Romania. Baked spud sliced 3/4 way through several times (I did 3 cuts).
Stuff each slice with, in our case, v. g. quality bacon - 6 rashers smoked back pre-fried (£1.60) and then fill the slices with slices of a decent Cheddar.
Stick back in oven until cheese melts - fantastic! I have some left for lunch tomorrow.
I served it with a helping of cauli cheese. Honestly, it was really good, do try!

It should have been good!
We had a very chunky pate with salad and crackers. Then I did marinated roast beef, roast potatoes, cauliflower/broccoli cheese, singing swede, green beans and carrots braised in chicken stock, oh and a delish gravy. Problem was the beef was as tough as old boots. I followed a recipe that should have cooked it medium. I tested after an hour, couldn't get a skewer in it at all. Kept on trying for over half an hour. In the end I took it out and rested it for half an hour.
OH carved it, didn't say anything. When we came to eat it it was almost unchewable. Trouble is there is a lot left of it.
Would it work if I diced it and put it in the slow cooker?
