Good Morning all:- this is a first for me, my family and I are hosting a MacMillan coffee morning,I have decided amongst other things to make some mince tarts and jam tarts, I have never bought ready made pastry before, should I get sweetened or ordinary short crust pastry? I am swaying towards ordinary! thank you very much. have a nice day

I always make pate sucree for mince pies which is a sweetened pastry so I would buy sweetened but if not available go for ordinary.
I would just go for ordinary shortcrust..great stuff saves so much time...good luck I hope your day goes very well and you raise lots of money xx
Good luck with your MacMillan coffee morning. I went to one last year and intend going again this year. Some yumsy cakes...
Much better to make your own shortcrust pastry. You don't need sweetened for jam tarts or mince pies as the filling is so sweet.
