Coriander has overtaken Basil, Thyme and Mint as Britain's favourite herb. I love it and so must many others, but I am surprised that many people hate it. For that reason people have begun to call it the Marmite herb. (I also love Marmite).

So...

A thumbs up

Or

A thumbs down

For Coriander?

Love coriander or not, don't you just love this latest action group of coriandaphobes?

/// Now the high-street sandwich shop Pret A Manger has come under fire from these coriandaphobes for its liberal use of the “devil’s herb”. ///
We All have different taste-that is why Cooking competitions are worthless !

AOG,
Thanks for that link. That Pret a Manger story was where I started :-)
Ive never used coriander..
I love it in a green Mojo sauce. Love Marmite also.
My culinary repertoire would be much poorer if I didn't like coriander.

I agree that it is a marmite herb, there doesn't seem to be much of a middle ground.
apparently there's a genetic component here; to some people it always tastes like soap.

I dont use coriader on its own. but I have a big drum of mixed herbs and I use those.
No I loathe it and a single leaf or stem will ruin my meal. Love marmite though.
I used to hate it. When we went for an Indian I could never pin point what it was I hated.

Love it now, it's permanently ticked on my shopping list.

I don't like Marmite....
Love it. And marmite.
Carrot and coriander soup. Yum!
