Rooibos tea isn't tea but made from a different plant. If you want low caffeine tea try a decent Darjeeling.
I don't like Earl Grey. It tastes of washing up liquid, caffiene free or not.
Question Author
like I said, I'm exploring caffeine free options.

Robots isn't a bad alternative and I wondered if anyone had tried the one I mentioned.

Rooibos, Earl Grey and caffeine free is nothing ressembling tea in my book - end of!
Have you tried ordinary red bush tea Eccles? I didn't like it at all, very odd taste. I wonder if the earl grey is nicer, I may pick up a box next time I'm in the supermarket as I only drink earl grey decaf anyway.
Always worth trying something new isn't it?

Lol woofgang, yet again damned autocorrect catches me out!

I have tried ordinary roobois Eth, it was tolerable, I wondered if a touch of bergamot might improve matters.
Have you tried honeybush tea? It's not as robust as Rooibos. Twinings make decaffinated Earl Grey
Yorkshire decaff tea tastes just like ordinary tea.
Question Author
Decaffeinated tea still has a residual amount of caffeine.

I am seeking a caffeine free alternative that tastes vaguely like tea, I suspect it will be futile though.
Question Author
Sorry, should have added that I'll look into honeybush tea.
