Good luck with the remaining two... lets us know how it goes.

I can beat that. I once bought a whole half dozen double yolkers.

No, Sibs. Boeuf Bourguignon. :-)

I know it's boring to you but I think it's extraordinary. What are the chances.......?
It could be an omen ;-)
I've had six in a carton too, I'm sure someone in the packing factory does it to make us smile.
Question Author
Mine might be just that, Jackdaw. I won't know until tomorrow.

A good omen, or a bad omen, Melv?

Mamya, they do feel heavy. Do you reckon the packers choose them deliberately?
You could be doomed, Tilly ;-)
The ones I got were fresh eggs from a market stall. Kept going back there but no such more luck.
One of my girls is quite reliable for squeezing out double yolkers. She gets rewarded with extra treats :-)
Get out the black paint for the spot on the door, Tilly ;-)

Do the bigger eggs hurt to produce, Eccles? Do the girls wince?

Awwww. That's sad! Poor little thing.
I was told it was something that happens when the hens first start to lay. A farm shop near me used to breed chickens and sell eggs, and they had double-yolkers regularly. Enjoy. It's so exciting, isn't it.
I too have heard that double yolkers come from young hens. Enjoy! I love the yolks.
Good job you didn't want a white of egg omelette
Never did understand how you made them
