Well in some parts of the Country the term 'Pudding' can mean a fool, a silly person - she was I think referring to a time in her life when she was heavily alcohol dependant.

She may of course have likened herself to the dessert as she became heavier , I don't know.

Not knowing the context I'd wonder if she was being despondent about her weight. But yes, it could be a reference to having done something silly.
