You can freeze practically anything [Helium is a ***, though :-)] But you mean can you freeze them and thaw them out and eat them after a few days or weeks. Seriously, you can freeze bread and cakes. I have frozen commercially produced crumpets, and they have been fine when thawed out. I don't see why home-made ones should be any different.
mikey, I was going to make a large amount, a bit to much fussing about to make them from scratch every morning.
I would never use a bottle sealing device either, we never open them to start with!
After the bottle (usually a gift) has sat in the cupboard for a year or two we chuck them out, occasionally, the good lady will use the wine for cooking.
When we moved to Wales, the removal guys must have thought it was Xmas, we gave them all our alcohol, numerous bottles of wine and about 4 bottles of Baileys, we kept one bottle of Baileys and the bottle of Glenfiddich single malt. I never give away good whiskey!
