I've just remembered that most public library services (including ours, here in Suffolk) provide free access, simply by entering a valid library card number, to The Times Digital Archive (although the past decade or so isn't covered). Using that, I've tracked down GR's article from Saturday, January 28, 2006 entitled 'Spice Should Lift but Not Overpower...

Most recipes in books and magazines are either directly taken from other publications or (in an attempt to prevent action for copyright theft) simply minor modifications of them. Mrs Beeton was one of the biggest plagiarists of all time!
So there's every chance that the recipe which appears both here

and here

is exactly the same one which appeared in The Times.
Youtube comes to the rescue for your second question ;-)

Using that, I've tracked down GR's article from Saturday, January 28, 2006 entitled 'Spice Should Lift but Not Overpower the Flavour of the Main Ingredient' in which he provided a recipe which is identical to the one in my links above. Here's a screen capture to prove it:

Although the recipe given on 04/07/07 isn't showing up, I'd be prepared to bet that it's the same one!

The Gordon Ramsay video doesn't give the amount of ingredients but the 2nd recipe link is the same one inspired by Gordon apparently with amounts of ingredients to use.
