Health Kick ... Recipies Needed

I have put on so much weight in the last couple of weeks and really feel like I need to do something drastic to make a difference and get me motivated!!

I realistically need to lose around 2 stone :-(

I was thinking about doing my own super healthy blended smoothies -- & making some kind of superfood healthy graon/oat bar to keep me going snack wise

Does anyone have any amazing recipes so I can do a healthy but strict detox plan?

The best thing you can do is get rid of processed food,especially carbs. That includes pasta,rice,cakes,crisps. Base your meals on meat,fish,eggs,cheese, leafy green veg and some more colourful veg. Eat some healthy fats such as nuts,seeds and avocados. Have some full fat dairy such as greek yogurt. Avoid too many smoothies as if they are fruit-based they will be quite high in sugar. Smoothies made with green veg are better. You don't need to detox...the body does that itself. Carbs/sugars cause the body to produce insulin...which is the hormone that makes us hold on to fat.
Do be aware that as you switch to real food and cut back on sugars,you can feel quite unwell for several days...but ultimately,you'll be doing yourself good.

I wouldn't bother with smoothies. Just eat a piece of fruit or some raw veg to snack on. I love raw sugar snap peas/carrots/red peppers.
Easier said than done (well, by me anyway) but I think it best if you can train yourself off of snacks. Have sufficient at mealtimes and try to get those mid morning and afternoon pangs disappear when the mind realises they aren't going to get satisfied. If you succeed then you don't need to make yourself bars, you won't feel the need.
