Last week we treated ourselves to a gorgeous brand new bedroom carpet in silver grey - so luxurious. I've woken up at 4am to a strange sound in bedroom. Warily I've turned on bedside light to see one of my cats chewing on the bloody innards of Christ knows what on my beautiful new carpet! Startled, shes bombed it downstairs leaving me to clear up God knows what!! Suppose I should be praising her or else i might be waking up to a sheeps head tomorrow.....

One dog we had, a black lab, when we went walkies in the woods he would have rabbits playing with him, if he was out in the garden birds used to come and sit on him. I've never known another dog like him. The boys rabbits used to play with him, chasing each other round the garden and end up with heap of legs and ears flaked out on the lawn.
I've never known it either. He was a springer and a real softy, a rescue dog. From his behaviour we could only assume he was mistreated. He fell in love with the kids really quickly. He was scared of everything, except birds!
I got a phone call from my son saying Joey had run away. I said he'll be in the pond. Get a phone call 10 minutes later saying "Mum, I can't get Joey out the pond" :-)

Regularly get contributions here....mice, one rat and a raven in the last week. The funniest one was the spaniel walking in with the rear half of a rabbit hanging out of his mouth, two legs splayed out either side at 50 degrees away from the vertical - though I suspect it was his mate, the cat, that had nailed it.
