My neighbour's kids love slushies. Last party they borrowed my blender and they thought it ok, when I got it back (I didn't realise you could crush ice) anyway I tried to crush ice and thought it was hopeless.
They have asked for a loan of it an hour ago (am thinking it is hopeless) anyway am thinking of buying them an early Xmas present as I usually give them money. So was thinking of buying on ebay what is called an ice shaver. They look good but would like a recommendation. Thanks all.
Thanks OG - when I tried it here at home - I crushed that much ice for too long it started to water down - to me it was hopeless. Does say on the machine "crushes ice".
Outside the EU (or even the UK) can be an issue, but I'd hope a small value item should be ok. It'll probably be marked 'gift' in the hope it'd get through unexamined.
Pooka - I was a bit aware of that but then it said Free Postage to UK - however I have been scammed before when it said that and the extra postage came out of my account.
Only buy from a UK seller. Check where they are sending from and if outside UK the postage may well be free but the tax duty is still applied. Plus you risk it not being compatable with UK sockets etc. Buy British.
OG - do realise about the plug but for your information it is a bad thing to cut the plug.
I remember many years ago my friend's son bought me (when staying in America) hot tongs and when I came home I cut the plug and replaced with British. Lucky I was there the tongs started to melt. Our electricity is too "strong". So that is why the converter is there obviously to reduce the danger. Hope that makes sense.
well when the tongs melted I did indeed think it was the plug. Anyway guys took Maydups advice and found exactly same machine in John Fraser. And only £4 for delivery. Thanks for advice.
