im guessing it would only be suitable for stews etc. my inner casing has broken in crockpot so i am going to order something like this above, i mainly cook roasts of beef , stews, chilli con carne etc.

Hmmm...the depth is just 4cm, so it would be difficult to fit whole joints in. Why not just get a new slow cooker if that's what you've been using?

You can get spare inner 'pots' for crockpots/slow cookers. A lot less than buying an entire new one.
