Can you buy choux pastry?
5 Answers
My teenage son has just gone off to school leaving me with a list of ingredients he needs for his cookery (sorry, food tech) lesson tomorrow, which is a miracle in it's self as I don't usually get the list until the evening before he needs the stuff! One of the things he needs is choux pastry. Now I've seen shortcrust and flaky pastry in both the chillers and freezers in supermarkets but I've never noticed choux pastry. Before I go trawling round all the shops does anyone know if it's possible to buy choux pastry, or do I have to make it myself (something I've never done).

But now I've stopped panicking (happens very easily first thing in the morning!) I've had a proper look at the ingredients and seeing as it's flour, butter, eggs, sugar and vanilla essence I presume he's making the choux pastry. Oh well, thanks for your replies and I suppose I'd better read the ingredients properly next time!! LOL
