I have phoned around everywhere..garden centres, craft shops....Does anyone know where I could buy sprigs of dried lavender and sage?

I don’t think that sage dries in sprigs, the leaves are very fragile when dry
You will probably get dried lavender stems on line, try Lavender World. I agree with Woofgang about the sage though, only ever seen it for cooking in the jars.

Many thanks. Sorry. I should have been more precise. I meant, where to buy in a shop. I don't have time to wait for the internet to deliver! Same old story. Leaving Christmas shopping to last possible minute!!
