What is Lucozade's purpose and does drinking about 3 bottle's a day have any damaging affects? Thanks!

Its an energy drink, and replaces necessary minerals and salts in the body. Due to the high glucose level it fuels you and builds you up after exercise/illness. As for the side effects of 3 bottles a day - well small 380ml bottles contain about 300 calories, so thats 900 if you are talking small bottles - slimmers world love heavy lucozaders

Lucozade also has caffeine in it, makes you feel better but too much can get you bouncing off the walls.

I cant take it because of the caffeine.Good point woofgang as a lot of people dont appreciate that.Some people just get a slight buzzy head with intolerance but I just go into a major flat on the floor attack with it.

Whilst I'm on a roll - solpadeine has caffeine in it and I was almost up the wall.My Gp was astonished and checked his little book and the dosage is very high.I feel there should be a warning if caffeine is present.

i believe it also conatins E110 which is sunset yellow which for some reason doesn't do asthmatics a world of good... and doesn't it make people hyperactive??

Ironically when I was little and in hospital with asthma attacks I used to be given Lucozade because it was considered a "health drink". It used to make me worse!

I think you'll find E110 is Sunset Yellow !
