Tucked under the lid of a beef and oyster pie, of course!
Raw, with a drop of Tabasco or lemon juice. Mmmm, I love oysters.

I bought a girlfriend a dozen oysters once, only 2 of them worked!

Fond as I am of seafood I could never get away with oysters. To me it was like swallowing salty phlegm.

I like them raw, straight from the shell. I did grill them once with really fine shallots, Tabasco and herbs...very nice. I have some being delivered today.

Jack - the first time I had them was in France and like you I heaved. I was like eating snot :-D

I love them now..
How do you go from eating snot...to loving them?

Pasta - I think it's an acquired taste. When I first had them it was part of a seafood platter. Next time, years later, I was at my friends house and he did the finely chopped shallots and a dash of tobasco....then I started liking them.
Raw with a squeeze of lemon is the only way. It's a crime against the best food on earth to adulterate or cook them.
Neat, straight out of the shell with a pint of Guinness next to them (especially so when in Ireland)
