Recommendation For A Food Mixer
9 Answers
As the title says, I am looking to buy a food mixer, and the market has lots. Which would you recommend and do you use one regularly? I am not one for gadgets and if I get a food mixer the bread maker OH loved when we got it, will become redundant ! I will be using it for dough, batter, pastries all the usual mixing. Are they worth the money I guess is what I am asking !

I would think there will be other makes that are just as good but for less money. If you are doing dough you will want one with a decent sized motor not one of the smaller mixers.
Hi Islander, I can highly recommend this machine. It will cover all you have mentioned. I bought it after reading up on the reviews. It's really easy to clean and comes packed with lots of different extras ( read the product description underneath) .. http:// www.deb enhams. com/web app/wcs /stores /servle t/prod_ 10701_1 0001_32 5003920 480_-1
I would still look for one with a decent motor. Many years ago (43 to be precise) I received the Kenwood Cheffette as a present. It has given good service but has not been overly used in fact not at all in the last 5 years but the motor now smells when mixing fruit cake as it is quite a heavy mixture and the cheffette's motor just isn't really big enough to cope. Shop around.
