After prepping all day for a roast dinner I wanted something simple but tasty so we're having BLTCs (the classic BLT with the addition of juicy chicken from the slow cooker) with chunky chips cooked in dripping. He'll have warm mince pies with cream for afters.

A Chinese takeaway because I am craving a spring roll.

I cannot decide on what to have for main as there are about six dishes I fancy. Will see what Mr Cake is having and that may lead my thinking.

Evening, NoM.......have an urge for green veggies......lots of greens so I'll add some fish in sauce and experimental potatoes........followed by an Aldi sloe gin mince tart....... :-)
did roasties and chicken in new air fryer...verrrrrry nice....!

Minty, would you recommend the air fryer then?
very much so nom..only took 2 tbsps of oil to do home made roasties..par boiled first..in fryer for 20 mins then added chicken for another ten....perfect..chicken plump and moist with a nice brown tinge finish to the outside, and roasties crispy but fluffy inside
Air fryer, NoM...without a doubt.....I now have two and they cook stuff beautifully.......and so easily.......x
