....all the planning....shopping....preparing and serving is all very well....

We titivate the turkey......pamper the pork.......baste the beef.......swaddle sausages in blankets...marinate the mincemeat... and what I did to two Aldi Christmas cakes is nobody's business......but.....

....curled on the sofa with a glass of red and a plate of left over pate.....dips....olives and crackers is just the best meal of the season.....

If I could have leftovers without all the faff of the before bit I'd be happy..... :-)

Very few left overs in our house although there are several pots of unopened drunken duck pate which I have hidden away from the husband as they were lush
Love a plate of picky nibbles, just graze to your heart's content.
Snap gness my favourite bit. I remember as a kid when chicken and turkey were not mass produced. They were so expensive and a real luxury. Christmas day evening I used to sneak into the kitchen and pick at the turkey carcass. It was the best bit of the day after the presents :o)
The best thing about Christmas- bubble and squeak, cold gammon and pickles, lovely grub
