Thank you for brining the article to my attention.
I know exactly where she's coming from, I still have more weight to lose and the excess skin is already depressing, the surgeon estimates I will have about 2 stone worth!

I will be going through the ops, I will also apply for funding via the NHS as my doctor and consultant are very sympathetic, but I am also realistic that I will probably have to pay for it myself.

The gentleman in the article must have gone some to have put on so much weight again and stretch his stomach so much! He put himself at so much risk just to feel 'normal'

I've, seen some TV programmes re removal of excess skin following weight loss. It is big surgery as I'm sure you are aware Islay, but the post op results are fabulous. .

Its huge Annea , I will have the stomach, thighs and pubis done as one then the breasts and arms as another.
Its a huge commitment but something that I feel will finish the journey.

If someone has excess skin removed and then goes on to put weight back on what happens?

I sort of guessed that would be the case but surely there is a limit to the stretchability of skin and the powers of Bio Oil for stretch marks?

lol I think if you are forced to have such operation then bio oil is well past help - you would need to bathe in the stuff!!
