They have allegedly improved it! I have been drinking Gold Blend for many years but they have changed the formulation. Now it has a gritty consistency and by the time you reach the end of the drink it's like drinking mud. Have they never heard of the adage "If it ain't broken, don't fix it"? What do other people think?

Ha ha! Quick!
Nescafé Alta Rica is my choice, or, even better, Nescafé Azera,
"formulation"?....have they simply added a little finely ground roasted coffee beans to the soluble solids to make it taste more of "fresh coffee"? I know that's what they've done to the de-caff version.
Jack, are they instants? I buy what tastes o.k for three adults. So a large jar, the smaller one for work.
Sorry Jack, getting mixed up. The Alta Rica is lovely!
are you sure you didn't buy gold blend barista by mistake?
I used to work with two women who only drank this. They both said exactly the same. Gritty.

No, it forever was.
The "new, improved" applies to everything any manufacturer changes. I think it really means "new, improved profits".
Azera is just awful. Lidl used to do a bog-standard Nescafe that was obviously for the German market - it was completely different from the uk Nescafe (i.e. it tasted of coffee) but they haven't had it for the past few months.
I drink gold blend, the granulated one. Himself drinks gold blend barista. Mine doesn't leave a residue at all, the barista does.
