My garden took a hit in the bad weather so for the last few days I have been working my socks off to get it back to perfection...with some added stone stuff that was really heavy.....I was shattered so Dave offered to come and cook for me tonight.....bliss....

I gave him some Aldi Guinness Sausages.....they are so good.....a load of vegetables and let him get on with it....I continued with the garden happily thinking of relaxing with a not cooked by me meal......and wine...

Dave busied himself in the kitchen and presented me with the most delicious meal......a wonderful, tasty casserole with sourdough bread......my, it was good...I was really enjoying it......until he said....

Oh dear.....I cut my finger today and put a plaster on it.....and now it's gone! Check your dinner, Gness....... :-(

Sudden loss of appetite so I'm going to buy a box of blue plasters for the next time Dave cooks for me......x

Lol I have lost track of the number of times that cry went up in the kitchens I trained in - for it only to be found in the sink!
LOL, bet Dave didn't eat the veggies.

I wish it was in the sink, Islay....or the waste bin....the green bin....even down the side of the sofa.......Dave has searched...... no bloody plaster... :-(
Question Author
He did, Tony......he had done things with them that made them edible.....for him anyway...think that could have been the added red wine.... :-)
Maybe it dissolved !.
Oh my stewed plaster anyone or sauted?
Question Author
Tony.....the sausages were delicious and tender.......except for the one chewy on I got..... :-(
Oi Chris, I thought you were the one that gets rid of spam ;-)
Bloody hell!
Question Author
Wishing I'd opened a tin of spam now, Chris...x

Sauted would have at least frizzled it a bit.....slowly simmering away would have just toughened it I think, Islay.....x
Next time you go to the loo...........
Do a little checking.

Ah...you heard my response then, Tilly?...x
Question Author
Sharon! If that's where it is it can go without me checking!... :-)
Every meal should have a secret ingredient in it.
I did hear it, Gness. It floated in on the wind. I said to myself, 'That's Gness. What's happened now?'

This is (by a distance) the most embarrassing thing that has happened to me for many years ...

... I've checked the remaining stew (funnily enough no-one wanted seconds) and am gathering my strength before I dive into the compost bucket and start examining the peelings.

redfaced dave :(((
next time use Germolene New Skin. That stays in place. It does not become a special ingredient in a casserole.
