Both contain Eicosapentaenoic acid and Docosahexainoic acid, commonly known as Omega-3 fatty acids so you could argue that both have similar health benefits. I'm not sure that I'm prepared to say that either are "good for you" but current research findings suggest that omega-3 fatty acids help lower blood triglyceride levels.
Omega-3 fatty acids are also required for normal growth and development and good vision so I ensure that I eat a portion or two of oily fish a week. If you dislike fish, I believe that some nuts and flax seeds contain decent amounts but you'd have to research that further.
