I cooked a Roast Lamb dinner as a birthday treat for an 'old' friend ...

... lamb studded with rosemary and flash roasted over a bed of root veg in truffle oil - then left to rest for a good while whilst we had cocktails :+)

Bottle of Amarone with the lamb then fresh coffee with Poitín chasers.

The electric bike ride home must have been fun :+)

Ael....I always do firework or flower candles for birthdays...umpteen of them and only once has there been a small fire....

Believe it or not that wasn't my fault.....friends did it for my 65th and if they had read the instructions...and the restaurant hadn't had a low hanging light over the table all would have gone well...... :-(
