There’s nothing disgusting about blue nun, it’s just a bit too sweet for my taste these days although I’d still drink a glass or two...if there was nothing else.

I don't find it sweet at all, hate sweet wine. I have some in fridge at the mo. so may have some later when I have my tea ...

I have just looked on German Amazon, and the only 'Blue Nun' is Eiswein, (ice wine) which is a different matter altogether, it is an expensive sweet, dessert wine, made from grapes which have been picked very late in the year only after they have been subjected to frost, always a good treat! This, I would recommend.
