Tin Foil

After all these years, I've been using tin foil wrong. According to Tom Kerridge it should be shiny side down!!!! Oh dear I've always put the shiny side up. What do you think?

I use it to stop the x-ray beams coming through the walls and windows.
Put the shiny side out to reflect them.
Seems to work; I'm still sane....

The difference in surface is to do with the production process, not the method of use.

There was something on the TV about this, several weeks ago, and apparently it matters not a jot!

Use whichever side up is most aesthetically pleasing to you! :-D

It doesn't, just force of habit. When you unroll it, it's shiny side down, why turn it over?

Mine rolls out shiny side up so when I use it it’s boring side down. Never noticed a difference when using it.

I cant see it would make a lot of difference either way myself.
