We have been out for a meal with six other friends. We went to a lovely rustic pub with lots of little interconnecting rooms.
I had:-
Whitebait and salad.
Belly pork, with crushed potatoes, broccoli and a creamy sauce.

And!!
Sticky Toffee pudding with honeycombed ice cream. Delicious!
I've eaten far too much and I'm struggling to keep my eyes open.
But I know if I go to bed I won't sleep as I'll be too uncomfortable.
We pay for our sins!
Tonya they are not mashed, they were new potatoes, boiled then gently pressed to just slightly squash them.
When I do them I will put hoisin sauce on the spuds and bake in the oven until crispy.
Sounds lovely Caran. I'd do without the toffee pudding. I prefer a sorbet. Crushed potatoes are nice. I do them with a splash of balsamic vinegar with monkfish.
