He is now disappearing and despite him having a spacial collar on " DO not feed vets diet only" I am pretty certain someone is feeding him.I can't fill him up on the special diet cat food because he hates it.
A neighbour has too see it OK to feed him Applause, High Life, Encore and a few others as these are low in minerals. Really want to give him a food he likes and stop him eating "someones" food.

Can you approach the neighbour(s)who may be feeding him, and ask them to please stop as they may be endangering his health. Maybe/hopefully they will take it on board. Either that, or keep him in for the time being.

I would if I knew which neighbour is doing it I would ask them! Suspect it is someone who kicks their cat out when they go to work and leaves food outside. Thank you for you tim though:-)
One of our cats also has these stones occasionally. He would not eat the wet food special diet but will eat the dry food. We also give him a Feliway cystease capsule each day which helps to ease stress, a possible cause of the stones.
If you think a neighbour is leaving food outside for their own cat (or dog. I don't discriminate), then surely keepingbyour cat indoors is the only option.

It seems harsh to blame a neighbour for feeding their own pet when yours is stealing the food.
My dog makes Oxylate stones and has had to have a bladder operation to remove them. He can have only Specific CKW and CKD because it is low protein plus other things I can't remember. It is working and he is no longer making the crystals that form into stones and has ceased having urinary infections. Unlike your cat, my dog loves his food. I think you have to speak to the vet to see what else is available to suit your cat because eating any other food is just not on, it will make him ill. You have to do whatever is necessary to keep him free of stones. They are very painful. Good luck and give him a hug from me.
PS I bet the flies etc love that dish of cat food left out. Poor cat.
