Big change in the weather here, positively cool and showery so tonight I'm doing Mince and fluffy leek dumplings, cream potato ,carrots and peas, simple but delicious ,for our tea tonight ( it's called tea here ,not dinner

What are you stuffing it with Mally? I can't say I've tasted Marrow,I tend to eat with my eyes ,if I don't like the look of something then I won't touch it,OH says "You won't know till you try it" but I just don't

I can eat courgettes but can’t bear the thought of marrows no matter what they’re stuffed with. Even though they’re basically the same.
I’m having a bit of fish and some spinach.

the marrow is to be stuffed with a chorizo, onion, tomato, roasted pepper and herb mixture and topped with a mixture of grated cheese and bread crumbs. I am not fond of marrow..probably because all my mum used to do with it was cook it in rings and bung a white sauce on top...tasted of nothing! ButI am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, so to speak and I love a freebie. My best summer was when a friends allotment went mad and I had a huge mixed bag of all sorts ...fabulous!
