Are Pizzas Supposed To Taste Cheesy?

I love cheese, but most of the ‘pizzas’ from the local deliverers never taste very cheesy.

Is it just round here? Do YOUR pizzas taste of cheese?

It entirely depends on where the pizza is from and what toppings it had.

The franchises are terrible for their cheese in my opinion. Best off going to a privately owned pizza take out.

The cheesiest pizza i've had was a margarita from the kebab house.

If you have a cheese pizza, yes.
I have tried cheese free, once in the past. It was ok.

Cheese only has a strong taste if it's a strong tasting cheese! Some pizzas are made with mild cheese or even imitation cheese.

I had one once where the cheese was applied in tiny pieces all over the top.

It was grate.

I can't say I've ever noticed. I like cheese, but my favourite pizza is pepperoni with extra onion and those flavours tend to overwhelm everything else. You could ask for a 'three cheese' one, that should taste pretty cheesy.

I have to admit i am a dirty boy and I like the vile concoctions that dominos create for example the bacon cheeseburger at the moment. Loads of gherkins with burger sauce. Delicious.

Is mozarella supposed to be a strong cheese? Mind you, as you’ve mentioned ‘imitation’ cheeses, perhaps it’s fake anyway.

Mozzarella is very mild.

If they're using mozzarella....no taste of cheese at all!
You could always add grated mature cheddar and whack it under the grill for a few minutes.
Of course, if you make your own pizza, you can make it as cheesey as you like.

Do yourself a big favour and melt some strong mature cheddar on toast. Put bacon or anchovies. Chorizo. Poached egg or anything on it and call it a Welsh rarebit with trimmings.
