1. Does anyone have a fan oven where the fan switches off when the oven comes up to temperature?
2. Does anyone have a top oven/grill which isn't supposed to be fan-assisted but where a fan runs all the time when the oven is up to temperature?
These questions might sound crazy but I'm having a dispute with Hotpoint so would appreciate your thoughts/experience.
ummmm - why do you leave your grill door open. I'd like to do that because when I toast/grill - there is nothing like the condensation between the panes of glass and it has to be cleaned every time.
I thought that with the door being closed - the heat is then condensed so to speak and heats quickly. Must give the toast a go next time with the door open.
Your comments confirm what I've been thinking since March i.e. that this new cooker is wired up wrongly! After much arguing with Hotpoint they've finally agreed to send a senior engineer out at no cost to me.
My fan oven came with a warning. Never close the top oven door when grilling and leave it to cool before closing the door. I have never left the closed the door whilst grilling. Grills years ago were never closed in.
