Came down for a quick snack, only to find a mice scurrying about dining room. He / she is a feisty thing and quite brave, put some nice blue food down for it and any friends. Had some in the sheds earlier this year after the bird / chicken food., they obviously followed it inside the house.
We live in a semi rural area with orchard behind us so only to be expected, and as soon as it gets chilly they are bound to seek somewhere a bit warmer.
I know what you mean, TonyV. I remember having to do something similar with my younger brothers pet Jerboa many many years ago after it managed to escape it's cage and my mom's cat found it and 'played 'with it .
JimF ordered some, a more humane method and can be left out all year round, we have friends that visit with dogs so have to be careful with edible baits.
Yes Tonyav years ago I had a rescue cat, she was a devil, how she managed to dispatch a pigeon twice her size and pull it through cat flap I will never know. She always delivered me some amphibioum of some sort when she was on her nightly "hunts"

Yes, we had a rescue kitten some years ago ( Daisy ) and she managed to hunt and capture ( in her very sharp teeth )wood pigeons and then drag them ... gawd knows how ... over a 6 foot garden fence back into our garden still flapping all over the place...... look mommy and daddy I've bought you a present !
No tonyav poison I use is professional grade that will dehydrate mice bodies and leave no odour wherever they decide to die. We have old house with lots of hiding places.
