Bought some smoked salmon trimmings thinking it would be thinly sliced bits but it seems to be in a block (haven’t opened it yet). Should I attempt to slice it thinly (I don’t fancy my chances of success) or chop it up into little chunks? It’s for a smoked salmon and broccoli frittata - it’s this week’s new meal idea that I’m inflicting on them all.

Little chunks will work fine in that dish Sherr.
I got some in Sainsburys a while ago, it looked like a block but turned out to be lots of small pieces. Stuck a couple of forks in it and pulled it apart, used it for sandwiches. Should be fine for a frittata.
Sounds good. Smoked salmon omelette is a classic. Better in chunky bits.

Cheers all, maybe it is thinly sliced but all squished together. Girl will be cooking so all has to go smoothly.

My god , what have they done to upset you, sherr ;-)

Tony, I try to make them try something new every week, the kids get to give it a mark out of 10.
Ah I see, good idea sherr.

Above what mark does the dish get served again in the future ?
I'll give it at least a 9 but I want a big portion. :-)
Alzo, prod and pull at it with a fork, it'll separate in a pleasing fashion.

They’ve all got to give it at least an 8 for it to ‘pass’, I’m doing potato wedges too just in case one of them doesn’t eat a lot of it.
Wedges too!!?? I'm there!

I’ll save you a bit (I’m not eating it though).
Good idea to have a back up, sherr.
