Friend who lives opposite Tesco's said there was a very long queue at 5.30am this morning.
In local paper, a woman tried to buy 72 toilet rolls in the co-op. She got very angry when told she couldn't have them. She said she will come back up to three times to buy the amount she wanted.
Local butcher had only one chicken breast, one sausage and a lamb chop as his stock today, everything else had gone.
The world has gone mad!

Couldn't agree more.
Our local Tesco car park was unusually busy on Monday morning. Last Sunday was a fairly quiet time in the car park, but on Monday it was almost jam-packed, and the situation hasn't changed much since then. Lidl's car park was just as busy.
I hope the Co-op said she couldn't have any of the toilet rolls and wouldn't get any if she came back .

Still no toilet rolls is sight in a couple of supermarkets I tried today.
Most of the stories relate to the major supermarkets, has anyone tried the local shops/ They may be a bit dearer but some are still well stocked. at least round here.
My shopper couldn't even get my regular supply of gin and tonic!
