Thanks for the excellent reply, ducksie. I'm following pretty much the diet you're on. Pasta, bread and rice are the biggies regarding carbs and I do ration these. The protein drink is whey based and I have 1 glass/day at lunchtime. I find it difficult to last 6hrs on 2 slices of bread difficult.
You're welcome Melv, I dunno if I could last 6hrs without some kind of carb, I eat breakfast early, a snack around 11, lunch then a snack and later dinner - I'd build up my protein with greek yogurt, qwark or anything like that. I don't buy into the protein drinks market at all. If it is working for you,that is great, but you would truly get your protein from your food
