I don't know a lot, but as I understand it, culling can be necessary so that those animals that live can have a better quality of life. Sometimes there are just too many of them and populations need to be managed. Wild animals starving seems far worse than wild animals that are culled and their meat used to feed us.

Who gave humans the right to think they know best, its all for the benefit of humans. Once all human life has expired the animals will roam freely and live and die their lives naturally. The strong will survive and the weak will die. And no trophy hunters will be able to kill for fun, animals, in the majority, kill to survive.
We went to see Ben Vogel give a talk regarding his adventures at a small venue some years back. He was great and so natural and talked for two hours without any notes. He also was a delight on the eye. And I love his voice. But I just can't watch anything these days involving animals being killed or injured or cruelly treated. I'm not vegetarian. I might be if it wasn't for rare steak!!
