Have seen this in one of the online groups im in....
What has the most alcohol/is the worst for you - 3 x 750ml bottles of white wine 11% proof OR 1 x 375 l bottle of vodka 40% proof??
I say the vodka but my MIL says the wine. Any ideas?a.
Most alcohol- looks like the wine to me, 11 % of 2250 is alot more than 40% of 375 .
Whats the worst for you- depends how you measure it but probly the wine too- more alcohol, more sugar, more fattning
I could'nt manage either of those, nowhere near. A litre of wines way more than enough for me. More would make me feel very ill. Never tried vodka but for spirits like whisky a quarter of a bottle gives me hangovers
I thought the general rule was the clearer the drink the less detrimental effect it has i.e. vodka and gin have less chemicals than red wine or say brandy so ought to mean less of a hangover but has to be in moderation obviously
The wine is about 25 alcohol units, the vodka 15. If we are talking about drinking them in one session, clearly both are bad for you. NHS advice is not to drink more than about 14 units spread over a week.
