Hi, I love Muller Light Yoghurts and I was wondering if anyone knew if you can freeze them and eat them as a sort of frozen yoghurt or ice cream?

If anyone has done this before, please tell me how.

Thanks!

Im afraid i cant tell you how but when i used to work in a supermarket there was a man who would come in everyday and buy all the yoghurts that were half price cos the sell by date ran out that day so i asked him what he did with them cos he couldnt possibly eat them all before the SBD, so he said he froze them!

i would seek advice to see if there is anything specific you have to do but i think you can

My mum used to bulk buy frozen pots of yoghurt from bejams when I was a child - they took about 2 hours to thaw at room temperature.

As long as you don't refreeze them after thawing, then it would probably be safe from a food poisoning viewpoint, but Muller Lights have so many additives they may not freeze or thaw that well.

Freezing ordinary yoghurts does not result in "frozen yoghurt" as we know it, there are more processes involved in making it
i freeze them sometimes and eat them frozen, they arent like frozen yogurt that you buy, but its yummy all the same!

Hi,

I thought this once! I bet your're after freezing vanilla or caramel ones!! Hmmmm!!! YUM!

To disappoint you, I put both these Muller LIGHT in the freezer and they came out all funny and not how I wanted them to. Almost like ice but the flavour had died a bit. Try it anyway, just so you know.

Maybe write to Muller and suggest they make Muller light frozen yoghurts!!

I did it once, but it didn't turn out too nice. But i imagine i did it wrong. Try putting it in for an hour, then mashing and stirring with a fork. putting it back in and repeating the process a couple of times, like if you make home-made ice cream or sorbet. Then leave to set completely.
As my Dad used to say - you can freeze anything at all - it's the thawing that's the problem
