Brazilian Farofa

Has anyone used readymade Farofa?
I need to know how to warm it up without spoiling it. I have never used it before. My Portuguese butcher gave me a pack to try but the combination of his stilted English and my non-existent Portuguese means that I don't know what to do with it.

He said, 'No cook, goes with chicken, pork, lamb.'

You can use it as you would a stuffing, adding fruit ,nuts onions or whatever you fancy. You can also fry it like a fried rice again adding whatever you like and use it in place of rice
