Delight

I used to get a chocolate bar about 15 years ago(!). It was soft pink stuff in the centre and covered in chocolate. It was called 'delight' and was absoloutely devine! Anyone remember it or seen it anywhere recently? (ps NOT Turkish Delight!!)

Delite/Delight was not around for long. They were rectangular, choc-bar sized, quite light (in weight) and were basically chocolate with this weird light pink, very smooth and a bit crunchy stuff in the middle, which was solid. They were nice, but did not have any advertising if I recall, so never got to be popular. Think they were around in the late 80s.
They sound a bit like Fry's Cream (i'm not doubting you by the way- i just dont remember Delite) do you remember them? they did a plain one, a mint one and a five centres. They were always a bit posh and grown up. I remember when my mum would give us money for sweets and pop on a Saturday night and we would get pink panther chocolate but we had to get her a Fry's cream or a Walnut Whip. Ah happy days!
Now you mention the low calorie thing i do remember it. Its probably cos its low calorie that i never went near it - being a full bloodied man i considered it a 'birds chocolate' - likewise Frys Cream - thats why i didnt know you could still get - dont go to that section of the shelf. I must add that my mum and dad had a sweet shop throughout the 80's so i have quite an intimate knowledge of confectionery from that period. Bring back the 'cabana' and the 'nutty'.
OMG I remember these too. They were in a kind of turquoise and pink wrapper. They were just a little bit bigger than a milky way but half the thickness. They had some kind of fondant in the middle which tasted great. I used to get these off of the ice cream van almost EVERY night when I was about 5 or 6 (early 80s). This really brings back good memories - wish you could still get them now!
